- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl combine the chicken pieces, olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Thread the seasoned chicken pieces onto the soaked skewers leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- Arrange the skewers in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 10 minutes.
- While the chicken cooks, stir together the melted butter, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley in a small bowl.
- Open the air fryer and brush the skewers generously with the garlic parmesan butter mixture.
- Return the skewers to the air fryer and cook for another 4 to 6 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the edges are golden.
- Brush the skewers with any remaining garlic parmesan butter before serving.
- USDA recommends cooking chicken to an internal temperature of 165°F for safe consumption.
Notes
If using shorter skewers, trim them as needed so they fit comfortably inside the air fryer basket without touching the heating element. Serve with ranch, garlic yogurt sauce, or marinara for dipping.
