Ingredients
  

For the Hot Dogs
  • 8 beef hot dogs
For the Buns and Toppings
  • 8 hot dog buns
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 small red onion diced
  • Yellow mustard for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Lightly score the hot dogs diagonally with a small knife to help them crisp while cooking.
  3. Arrange the hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry for 5 minutes until the hot dogs are lightly blistered and heated through.
  5. Brush the inside of each bun lightly with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  6. Place the buns into the air fryer for 1 to 2 minutes until warm and lightly toasted.
  7. Add the hot dogs to the toasted buns.
  8. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, diced red onion, and mustard.
  9. Serve immediately while hot.
  10. Cook hot dogs to an internal temperature of 165°F for food safety.
