- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the chicken thighs in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- While the chicken cooks, stir together the barbecue sauce and apple cider vinegar.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and brush generously with the barbecue sauce mixture.
- Return to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes more until the sauce is caramelized and the chicken is fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For the best texture, avoid overcrowding the pan. Leaving space between the thighs helps the edges brown and allows the barbecue glaze to caramelize properly.
