Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Small bowl

Method

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, water, and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the skillet and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over each piece. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes to fully coat the chicken.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with rice, steamed vegetables, or roasted potatoes for a complete meal. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit for safe consumption.
