Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 6 to 7 minutes, breaking it apart until browned.
  2. Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to coat evenly.
  3. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and mix with the beef. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is bright green and just tender.
  4. Reduce heat to low and pour in heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it warm through for about 1 minute.
  5. Add half of the shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese evenly over the skillet. Cover with a lid and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.

Notes

Cook ground beef to an internal temperature of 160°F to ensure it is safely cooked through.
